We had a great, productive weekend in the sierras. We cleared 100 trees over 2 days. I pulled so many trees on Friday that I ran out of fuel on the way back to camp….that’s 13 gallons!! We had a good turn out and the weather was perfect. Here is the list of people I wrote down:
Will and Kara
CJ and Stephanie
Ole and Sherry
Daryl and Aubrey
Wayne
Mike and Kelly
Bob
Jason
Dan
David
Eric and Dolly
Dishan
A huge thanks to Dan who jumped in and out of the buggy over 80 times rigging trees. Also a huge shout out to Steph for cooking a great dinner Saturday night and Will and Kara for hosting at their beautiful cabin.
We made a huge dent and got the Mattley Ridge open. The trail below the Hunters Camp is buried in 4’ of snow down to the meadow, so that loop still needs to be cleared. Also, the loop from our lunch area left of 7N09 needs to be cleared. Hopefully a small group of members can get together in a few weeks to finish those loops. The Bear Valley side of Coral Hollow was buried in snow again so it will be a least a few weeks before anyone will get through there.
Cheers,
Jason
